Brewed As was originally set up in Mangawhai as a pop up coffee kiosk, after spending a Summer here, we decided to stay and call it home.
With a love of coffee and passion for flavoursome wholesome food,
We take great pride and look at every aspect of making the things we produce to ensure the care and quality is in every cup and plate. We chose to be a Collective, for our desire to collaborate with community talent to help show case quality, local products.
Specialty coffee, organic loose leaf teas, and wraps, morning boosting smoothies and raw treats with a full evolving menu into the evening designed to share with your friends accompanied by the selection of craft beer, wine and cocktails.
We also have a strong sustainability ethos, a space where locals will come to share and explore new ideas, a space for small groups in the community to meet and a venue where they can be proactive in creating community events and promote local expertise and talent.
We have a huge desire for furthering our education and striving for new challenges within our business that pushes us to grow with our customers, as sharing everything we learn gives us great excitement. To ensure our customers have a unique coffee experience, to enjoy every sip you take, we will make every effort to use only the best ingredients we can get our hands on. We care about your health as much as we do about the beautiful planet we live on.

In every decision Turning Point make, they ask themselves, is this the right thing to do for people and planet and are they creating prosperity for all, from growers to consumers? From tree to cup their goal is to minimise their impact on our environment. This is why Brewed As is proud to serve this coffee.
Our green beans come direct from growers or through certified organic farms, so we know where they’re coming from and who’s getting paid what. It’s about fairness really – and we’re not interested in anything less.
NO WASTE PACKAGING
Our ultimate goal is re-use, it’s how we supply cafes and how you can genuinely access zero-waste premium coffee. We have implemented a barrel exchange system with Brewed As to remove the need of single use or compostable bags
GREAT COFFEE LOCALLY ROASTED
Roasted fresh daily on one of the most advanced small batch roasters using infra-red elements, so no gas equals less emissions.
The roaster Stu Hargie, started in coffee in 1998 in New Zealand, working in sales/barista training and has since worked in green coffee sourcing and quality, both in the UK and New Zealand. He headed up BrewGroup’s, international coffee sourcing programme and is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Stu has been involved with both the NZSCA (New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association) and SCAE (Specialty Coffee Association of Europe) UK over the years.
Stu has been involved with WCE (World Coffee Events) since 2006 and has been a sensory and head judge for both the World Barista championships and the World Brewers Cup, he has been a certified Q grader since 2010
Coffee and competitions have taken Stu to many different countries where he has had the privilege to connect with so many great coffee people. The people, community and constant learning is what Stu loves most about our industry.

Noble & Savage are modern-day tea merchants that give a nod to the past while priding ourselves on respecting nature and utilizing science to create our bespoke tea blends. We have selected ingredients with beautiful aromas, and natural blends of complex notes that evoke old fashioned values from simpler times while engaging rituals that slow us down and get us present, both of which make life better.
Noble & Savage is a kiwi owned tea company and our philosophy is simple, "supply the connoisseur and downright thirsty with the best and the rest will follow". They work closely with the estates, as their tea hinges fiercely upon the passionate people working in in the fields every day.
